Who we are
TrackScout is a free analysis tool developed by Christian Rosenbech. The service is available at trackscout.rosenbech.dkand lets users analyze a website's tracking scripts and cookie consent solutions.
What we log
When you scan a URL, we store an anonymous summary of the scan result for statistics purposes. It contains:
- The domain name of the scanned site (e.g. example.com)
- Whether a consent solution was found
- Number of tracking scripts detected
- Whether there were consent issues
- Timestamp of the scan
For a regular one-off scan we do not store your IP address, email, name, or other personally identifiable information. No tracking cookies are set on this site.
Monitoring a URL (optional signup)
If you actively sign up for daily monitoring of a specific URL, we store that URL and the email address you provide until you unsubscribe. We use these details solely to scan the chosen site daily and send you an email if changes occur in tracking scripts or consent setup.
- Signup requires confirmation via a link sent to your email
- You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email we send
- The URL and email aren't deleted automatically, but are no longer used after unsubscribing
This feature is separate from the anonymous one-off scan described above, which continues to store no personal data.
Feedback
If you send feedback via the feedback button, we store your message and, if you choose to provide it, your email address — solely so we can read and possibly reply to your message. The field is optional.
Headless browser scanning
When we scan a site, we open it in a server-based browser to test consent mechanisms. This happens from our server — we don't send any of your browser data or cookies to the scanned site.
Third parties
We use the following third-party services:
- Vercel — hosting and serverless functions (US/EU)
- Supabase — database for anonymous scan statistics and, for signed-up monitoring, URL + email (EU)
- Resend — sending confirmation and notification emails to users who signed up for URL monitoring
Your rights
For regular one-off scans we store no personal data, so there's nothing to request access to, correct, or delete. If you've signed up for URL monitoring, you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails, after which your email address is no longer used. If you'd like your email and monitored URL permanently deleted, feel free to contact us at cr@cpcsocial.dk.
